The issue of environmentally responsible carpet cleaning has forced the industry to change dramatically in order to address today's pressing environmental concerns. Gone are the days of cleaning regularly with toxic chemicals and dumping wastewater into toilets, sinks or storm drains.

Today's carpet cleaning professionals must be environmentally responsible. Equipment must be continuously maintained and up to date. Cleaning solutions must be non-toxic.

Upholstered Furniture
(Upholstery) Cleaning
at Your Home or Business

ABC's upholstery cleaning procedure can be used to clean your upholstered furniture right in your own home or business - even if DRY CLEANING is recommended!

Our equipment and cleaning solutions are capable of NON-TOXIC, ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE dry cleaning as well as wet cleaning -- wherever your upholstery is located!

• No pick up and delivery required.
• No waiting for a week to get your upholstery back.

Please note: Certain delicate types of fabrics or furniture with fabric that needs specialized or repeat cleanings may need to be cleaned in the controlled environment of our cleaning plant. We may request you bring them to our plant or utilize our pick up and delivery service.

If we have explained to you that your particular piece of upholstery needs to be cleaned in our plant, we have done so for both your protection and ours.

Major Advances in
Cleaning Methods for Upholstery

In the last several decades, cleaning tools and equipment have changed dramatically. Upholstery cleaning equipment is designed to produce high heat and lower water pressure, which helps to clean heavily soiled fabrics more safely and efficiently.

Today, the ability to precondition with neutral or acidic upholstery cleaning products and rinse with clear water, acidic rinse agents or special dye stabilizing agents has allowed ABC's upholstery cleaning procedure to combine hot water extraction's (steam cleaning's) effectiveness and residue removal benefits with the safety of the most popular methods in the past--dry foam or dry solvent cleaning.

Whatever process your furniture needs, wet or dry cleaning, we can provide it.

Stain Protection and Other Topical Treatments After Cleaning? 

Stain Protection

An application of stain protection after upholstery cleaning will keep your upholstered furnishings cleaner longer.

Please remember that any after-market treatment of stain protection will wear off in time and the fabric may need to be re-treated after the next cleaning. The length of time between treatments depends on the degree of usage of the piece of upholstery.

Dust Mite Treatment 

It is the house dust mite waste or feces, and not the mites themselves that triggers asthmatic and allergic attacks. Research has revealed this trigger is a microscopic protein in the mite excrement called Der p1.

Our dust mite treatment is derived from naturally occurring extracts found in plants and trees. It works by instantly deactivating the allergen Der p1 by denaturing the substance. Eliminating this allergen is the initial priority because the eradication of the dust mite is virtually impossible.

Studies by doctors and universities have demonstrated that when dust mite droppings are treated with the main active ingredient contained in our dust mite anti-allergen treatment, the allergens are physically changed, rendering them permanently harmless to people who display allergic symptoms to dust mite allergens.

Ceramic Tile and Grout Cleaning
and Sealing
in Homes and Businesses 

Tile and grout cleaning is a service that can really be a lifesaver for customers. Because ceramic tile takes so much time and care to clean properly, it can quickly become the hard surface in a home that may get the least care.

Cleaning Tile vs. Vacuuming or Sweeping any Other Flooring

You may think mopping your tile surfaces is doing as good a job as vacuuming a carpet or sweeping a floor. But simply mopping to clean your tile surfaces may be doing more harm than good.

Your mop's dirty water can push around contaminants that can stain the grout between your tiles. That's not to mention the stains that inevitably come with every day life that can also change your tile and grout surfaces for the worse, especially if you are just mopping them.

When it comes to tile and grout cleaning, the equipment requirements more than double than for any other hard surface. Now we must get out the mop and mop bucket, a sponge, scouring pad, fill the bucket, change the dirty mop water, dump the final dirty water, clean the mop, clean the sponge and scouring pad, clean the bucket and put it all away again.

It's no wonder today's busy homeowners and apartment dwellers wait until the condition of the floor is no longer tolerable before tackling that messy job!

Addressing the Grout

But wait...we haven't even addressed the grout yet! Not many of us are willing to get down on our hands and knees to use a small brush (and possibly toxic chemcals) to scrub each grout line in our tile floors.

If you are one of the lucky few who have had their grout sealed at the time of the tile installation, you are in luck with this particular part of the cleaning. But it is the case with about 90% of new tile installations, that because newly installed grout usually needs at least 72 hours to cure before it can be sealed, this very important step is often skipped by contractors.

The reasons are easy to understand. Busy contractors may find it difficult to return to a job site 3 days after an installation and the additional man hours and material costs may also be prohibitive.
